The Vision
The Rock Bible is seeking a gifted, gospel-centered leader to join our team as the Pastor of Worship & Family Ministries. We are a growing congregation of over 300 people committed to deep discipleship. We aren't just looking for a "stage performer" or a "youth coordinator"; we are looking for a shepherd-leader who can craft formative worship experiences and build a seamless discipleship pipeline for our students that mirrors our adult spiritual formation process.
Core Responsibilities
1. Worship Arts & Culture
Service Design: Collaborate weekly with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute Sunday services that are theologically rich, innovative, and spiritually vibrant.
Musical Leadership: Lead worship vocally and instrumentally, while recruiting, auditioning, and mentoring a diverse team of volunteer musicians.
Cultural Development: Cultivate a "worshipful culture" within the church that moves beyond Sunday mornings, prioritizing heart-transformation over production.
AVL & Digital Media: Oversee the Audio, Visual, and Lighting (AVL) teams and digital media strategy to ensure excellence in our physical and online presence.
2. Student & Family Discipleship
Leadership Oversight: Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer leaders for our Middle School and High School ministries.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure that student discipleship practices (small groups, teaching, and mentorship) reflect and integrate with our church-wide adult discipleship processes.
Parent Partnership: Act as a resource and partner for parents, equipping them to be the primary disciplers in their homes.
Community Building: Create environments where students feel known, loved, and challenged to grow in their identity in Christ.
Qualifications & Requirements
Theological Alignment: A deep commitment to conservative theology and a passion for "theological excellence" in worship lyrics and teaching.
Leadership Provenance: Experience leading worship teams and managing volunteers in a mid-to-large church setting (300+).
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with AVL systems (e.g., Planning Center, ProPresenter, digital audio consoles) and digital media platforms.
Heart of a Shepherd: A visible love for the local church and a desire to see students and families thrive.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Worship Arts, or a related field (Seminary degree preferred).
Key Attributes:
Innovative: You aren't afraid to try new creative elements to engage the congregation.
System-Minded: You can build sustainable structures for volunteer growth and discipleship tracking.
Relational: You are as comfortable grabbing coffee with a high schooler as you are leading a rehearsal.
Compensation
Compensation based on experience. Benefits and retirement also provided.
